Core Benefits

Medical and dental
The company offers excellent medical and dental coverage. Freeman pays a portion of the benefit premium.

Vision coverage for employees and dependents is available for purchase at a reasonable cost.

Flexible spending account
Flexible Spending Accounts are available to help employees reduce their taxable income while saving for certain health care and dependent care expenses.

Basic life insurance
Freeman pays 100% for employee life insurance at one times the base salary, subject to a maximum limit.

Voluntary Benefits

Voluntary life
Employees may purchase additional life insurance for themselves and their dependents through payroll deductions.

Accidental death and dismemberment
Freeman pays 100% for this coverage for employees. It provides insurance payments for certain losses as a result of an accident occurring on or off the job while employees are insured.

Short-term disability
Employees may purchase Short-Term Disability, which pays a weekly benefit when they are off work due to a non-work-related illness or injury for more than 14 consecutive days. The weekly benefit is 60% of your base pay (up to $2000) for up to 26 weeks, including an elimination period of 14 days. The benefit is coordinated with Extended Illness Benefit days which are provided by Freeman.

Long-term disability
Employees may purchase Long-Term Disability, which provides monthly income replacement of 60% of your base earnings (up to $10,000) after an elimination period of 180 days.

Additional Perks

401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
Freeman matches 50% of the employee's pre-tax contribution up to 6% of the employee's pay. Employees are automatically enrolled at a 3% contribution level after 90 days of continuous employment. Employees are 100% vested in company contributions after three years of service.

Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
Employees are automatically enrolled in the ESOP on July 1 or January 1. Once enrolled employees will share in Freeman's contribution if they work at least 1,000 hours during the plan year (July 1 through June 30). Employees are fully vested after three years of service.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Freeman employees and eligible family members enjoy the benefit of confidential counseling and problem resolution assistance through this program.

Tuition reimbursement
After two years of full-time employment, employees may be eligible to participate, if the course requests are approved. The reimbursement rate is 50% for tuition, with a $5,000 maximum benefit per calendar year.

Adoption Assistance
Freeman offers an Adoption Assistance program to help lower your out-of-pocket cost for both domestic and international adoptions. If you choose to adopt, you can apply for reimbursement of up to $2500 as soon as the child is placed in your home.

Credit Union
Employees and their immediate family members are eligible for membership at Advancial Credit Union. Advancial is a full-service credit union with an array of financial products and services, plus offers competitive rates on loans.

Coverage for Employees on Military Leave
For employees on military leave, Freeman will continue to pay the employer and employee portion of insurance benefits (e.g. medical, dental, vision) in effect at the beginning of the leave.

Freeman offers 9 paid holidays including one floating holiday each year.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
PTO days are available as vacation, sick, personal days or to care for sick family members. In the year of hire, employees accrue PTO based on the month they start.

Extended Illness Benefit (EIB)
EIB is intended for qualifying illnesses spanning eight consecutive days or more.
